This is completely your choice. We do have some employers who offer their employees a non-matching Group RRSP to give them an easier way to automate your own contributions, steadily grow your future savings and enjoy immediate tax benefits.
However, we do recommend offering some type of base and/or matching plan since we see much higher enrollment rates and overall success with these types of plans, which means as an employer you get more from offering this financial wellness benefits (e.g. attracting talent, employee retention, brand lift, etc.).
